The climate control system 200 is suitable for a building having a plurality of climate controlled regions Z1,Z2. Each region has a zone unit 210 that comprises an integrated climate sensor (212, figure 3); a power supply connector 217; one or more additional connectors 218 for connection to a further climate sensor (211) and at least one climate control unit provided in the region, such as a louver actuator 220 or valve 221; a master control connector 216 for connection to a master controller 201; and a processing unit (215). The processing unit is operable to communicate with the master controller and to direct operation of the at least one climate control unit in response to the output of the integrated sensor and the further climate sensor to maintain the respective region within a desired climate range. The processing unit has a unique addressing identifier and is operable to receive communications incorporating the unique identifier and ignore communications omitting the unique identifier. The zone unit may include a user interface comprising controls (253, figure 4), indicator lamps (251-252) and/or a display. Communications received from the master controller may reprogram operation of the zone unit. |
