SENSOR USING PHOTONIC CRYSTAL STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A photonic crystal sensor is provided to reduce a size by integrating an optical waveguide, a photonic crystal, a laser diode, and a photo diode with a single substrate. CONSTITUTION: A main waveguide(310) is comprised of an optical waveguide, receives an optical signal through one side and outputs the optical signal through the other side. A resonance waveguide(320) is comprised of a ring shaped optical waveguide. A photonic resonator(330) has a photonic crystal structure whose refractive index is periodically changed.
