PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving data in a mobile communication terminal and the mobile communication terminal using the same are provided to check widget information stored in the mobile communication terminal through an external video output device, thereby checking information of the mobile communication terminal while watching the external video output device. CONSTITUTION: A Bluetooth transceiving menu is displayed on a display unit through a mobile communication terminal(S1). Widget transmission is selected in the Bluetooth transceiving menu(S2). A controller of the mobile communication terminal attempts to connect to a DTV(Digital Television) of an external video output device(S3). If the digital TV and the mobile communication terminal are connected, the controller transmits the Widget information to the digital TV(S4). The Widget information is displayed on the digital TV(S5).
