PURPOSE: A control apparatus for automatic transmission is provided to prevent the shock of shifting a gear by setting a start timing and suppressing the shock of a recovery. CONSTITUTION: A change speed pressure correction controller(S1) measures physical quantity indicating the state of change speed and correct the command pressure of a friction element. A torque controller(S3) outputs a command for increasing the torque of a driving source. A determination unit determines the changed speed by the torque controller is converged to a command value.
