PURPOSE: A cleaning apparatus including a blade member with a plurality of layers and an image forming apparatus using the same are provided to prevent the abrasion of the blade under high temperatures. CONSTITUTION: A blade member(50) includes a plurality of layers, contacts the surface of a cleaned member and removes residue on the surface of the cleaned member. The blade member is displaced in a direction which is separated from the surface of the cleaned member according to the difference of the thermal expansion property of the layers. The blade member is fixed to a holder(56).
