PURPOSE: A data write driver and a semiconductor memory device using the same are provided to reduce the area of a data writing circuit by selectively driving a plurality of memory banks using a common data writing circuit. CONSTITUTION: A common write control part(61) generates a common operation control signal corresponding to write data. The common write control part comprises an enable signal generation unit(610) and a driving control signal generating unit(620). The enable signal generation unit generates a drive enable signal in response to a light signal and a write mask signal.
