PURPOSE: An operating robot system using augmented reality and a method for controlling the same are provided to facilitate the progress of an operation by displaying actual surgical tools and virtual surgical tools. CONSTITUTION: A master robot controls a slave robot(2) including a robot arm(3). A display unit(320) displays endoscopic images from a surgical endoscope. One or more arm manipulating unit(330) controls the robot arm. An augmented reality implementing unit(350) generates information related to virtual surgical tools. A manipulating signal generating unit(340) generates a manipulating signal for controlling the robot arm and transmitting the manipulating signal to the slave robot.
