[Class 141] A full-skirted bathing or swimming costume having its upper part formed with a brassiere, and having only a single thickness of material at the sides of the waist and hips ; comprises front and rear halves 1, 2 to which are secured by stitching 4, 9 along their upwardly extending tapering edges front and rear panels 3, 8 of less width than the halves 1, 2. The lower edge of each panel is free, and is formed with a V- shaped cut out to receive the usual crutch portion 7. The panels extend to near the top of the costume, and the upper edge of the panel 3 is of inverted V-shape to join to the lower edge of the brassiere portion of the costume. |
