PURPOSE: A thermosetting resin composition for forming a protective film, the protective film for the display device, and a formation method thereof are provided to secure the heat resistance, the alkali resistance, the surface hardness, and the transparency of the protective film. CONSTITUTION: A thermosetting resin composition for forming a protective film of a display device includes the following: a copolymer formed by copolymerizing a monomer containing an epoxy group-containing unsaturated compound, and a radically polymerizable unsaturated compound; and a compound selected from the group consisting of compounds marked with chemical formula 1, 2, and 3. In the chemical formulas, R is an alkyl group with 1~20 carbons. X is either an ethylene oxide group or a propylene oxide group. |
