PURPOSE: A real time monitoring method of a long-period wave is provided to minimize the damage from the long-period wave including an abnormal high wave, a tsunami caused by the earthquake or the storm. CONSTITUTION: A real time monitoring method of a long-period wave comprises the following steps: collecting real time data from the change of the sea surface based on time, to form sea surface change data(S100); performing a time domain analysis and a spectrum analysis to collect the wave information(S200); performing a tide level analysis for the real time data for the change of the sea surface to calculate the height of sea level at the analysis time point(S300); and warning the generation of the long-period wave based on the collected information(S600).
