BELT TYPE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAID TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE: A belt type continuously variable transmission and a method for a controlling said transmission are provided to reduce the power of a pulley in a range where belt sleep is not generated by including an up shift determination unit. CONSTITUTION: A primary pulley(11) and a secondary pulley(12) respectively controls the width of the pulley. A pulley thrust calculation unit calculates to make pulley thrust within an available value. A fluid pressure control unit controls the fluid pressure supplied to the each pulley based on the calculated pulley thrust. A continuously variable transmission includes belts which are wounded around each pulley and changes gear ratio by changing the width of the pulleys.
