PURPOSE: A shaft weight measuring device and a shaft weight measuring method are provided to improve the accuracy of the measurement result, reduce the number of components, and reduce costs of equipment. CONSTITUTION: A shaft weight measuring device comprises a first and a second wheel balance(2a,2b), and an operation unit. The first wheel balance is positioned on a first measuring point to measure the weight of one wheel(202a) installed in an axle(201). The second wheel balance is positioned on a second measuring point to measure the weight of the other wheel(202b) installed in the axle. The operation unit produces the weight of the axle based on the measuring results of the first wheel balance and the second wheel balance.
