<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To comfortably play back image data for a massive data amount. <P>SOLUTION: An image data providing apparatus 100 provides image data corresponding to each of a plurality of contents to an image display device. The apparatus includes: a first storage device 110 storing therein high-compression image data and low-compression image data corresponding to the respective contents; a second storage device 120 of which the data access speed is higher than that of the first storage device 110 and of which the storage capacity is smaller than that of the first storage device 110; and an image data control device 130 including a function of copying the low-compression data corresponding to specific contents of the respective contents from the first storage device 110 to the second storage device 120, and a function of reading the low-compression image data corresponding to the specific contents from the second storage device 120 when playing back the specific contents. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
