<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game server or the like which can properly update the patrolling points of characters patrolling within a virtual space. <P>SOLUTION: A player's character managing part 202 manages information on the positions of individual player's characters. A patrolling points memory part 204 stores a plurality of patrolling points. An enemy's character control unit 205 makes enemy's characters patrol at patrolling points stored. An enemy's character managing part 206 manages information on the positions of the enemy's characters patrolling. An area specifying part 207 specifies the areas where the movement of the players' characters is allowed, without being detected by the enemy's characters, based on the relationship between the information on the positions of the individual player's characters managed and the information on the positions of the enemy's characters managed.
