<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light control device capable of sufficiently reducing an illumination light quantity, when a light shielding rate is maximum, while making the change of a light shielding quantity comparatively gentle, and to provide a lighting device for a projector using the light control device. <P>SOLUTION: The change of the light shielding quantity can be made comparatively gentle by notches CTa and CTb formed at the ends of the first light shielding members 91a and 91b of a pair of light shields 82a and 82b. Further, light shielding areas corresponding to the notches CTa and CTb are changed by second light shielding members 92a and 92b arranged to be close to the notches CTa and CTb. Especially, when the first light shielding members 91a and 91b are fully closed, a luminous flux shielding quantity corresponding to the areas of the notches CTa and CTb is maximum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
