<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread-cutting mechanism of a sewing machine which alleviates variations in thread remaining length by stabilizing a position in which thread is to be cut, and makes finish beautiful. <P>SOLUTION: In the thread-cutting mechanism 20 of the sewing machine which is rotatably provided in the body 21 and includes an upper knife 22 and a lower knife 23 which clamp and cut thread by carrying out opening and closing motions by rotation, an opening and closing link 24, which is connected with the upper knife and the lower knife directly or through the link and makes the upper knife and the lower knife perform the opening and closing motions by reciprocating in a predetermined direction, and a driving source 28 which is connected with the opening and closing link and makes the opening and closing link reciprocate in the predetermined direction, there is included a conversion link 25, in which one end is rotatably connected with the opening and closing link, the other end is rotatably connected with the lower knife, and the reciprocating motion of the opening and closing link is converted into a circular motion centering around a connection part with the opening and closing link. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
