PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To render them harmless by decomposing and fixing chlorine-containing volatile organic compounds.
SOLUTION: A gas (exhaust gas), containing chlorine-containing VOCs, is introduced from a blower 1 into a system and supplied to a rotary adsorption concentrator 2 for concentration. The concentrated exhaust gas containing chlorine-containing VOCs is temperature-raised to a predetermined temperature e.g. by heat exchange with the gas after reaction, supplied to a reactor 5 from its lower part and allowed to react. By-product gases, or reductive gases, after reaction in the reactor 5 and an optionally added fuel gas 7 are supplied to a catalytic oxidation reactor 6 and oxidized by oxygen in the exhaust gas. The produced gas containing the gas after the oxidation is subjected to heat recovery by heat exchangers 4b and 4a and discharged into the atmosphere. The solids (reaction products), after reaction in the reactor 5 are drawn from the lower part of the reactor 5 for other uses.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
