SOLUTION: A primary sheave hydraulic pressure Pin and a secondary sheave hydraulic pressure Pd are controlled at a propulsion ratio higher than the balance propulsion ratio during normal control only when a condition in which the speed change ratio is a maximum speed change ratioγmax and a vehicle movement determination is being performed is satisfied without constantly increasing the balance propulsion ratio during the maximum speed change ratioγmax, and when the vehicle is completely stopped, the primary sheave hydraulic pressure and the secondary sheave hydraulic pressure are controlled at the balance propulsion ratio of normal control.
