<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize control permitting an abnormal spark to be precisely detected by an inexpensive and simple structure and the life of a motor to be lengthened as much as possible in an electric blower of a vacuum cleaner. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has an electric current detection means 5 to detect an alternating current flowing through the electric blower 2, and lowers the amount of electricity supplied to the electric blower to a prescribed amount if there exists at least a period when parts between half waves of the waveform of the alternating current flowing through the electric blower 2 remain unenergized. Consequently, since the missing half waves are detected, the possibility that missing half waves are wrongly detected is extremely low: even if the abnormal spark occurs, decreasing the amount of passed electricity allows the vacuum cleaner to be used closest to its life and makes a revival of the motor itself hopeful. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
