[Class 120 (iii)] In a machine for stripping waste from bobbins having spring-influenced stripping members, the spring interposed between the individual stripping tool and its associated pusher, is adjustable and a separate driving shaft is provided at each side of the machine for carrying the cam members operating the pushers. As shown the stripping tools are arranged in pairs slidably mounted at opposite sides of the frame 1 in guides 15, 16, and the tools at each side are actuated by cams on a separate shaft 3. Each tool 13, 14 of a pair is carried by a holder 12 abutting a flange 11 on a sleeve 10 screwed on to a sleeve 9 on which is arranged the spring 8 disposed between the end of the sleeve 9 and a member 7 engaged by the end of a pusher 5 carrying a roller 6 which is urged by a spring 18, secured to the holder 12 and the frame 1, into engagement with a cam 4 on the respective shaft 3 ; by rotating the sleeve 10 the compression of the spring 8 is adjusted. The cam may be shaped so that the stripping tools bear with a substantially constant pressure on the barrel of a conical bobbin. |
