<p>PURPOSE: A keyboard interface offering method and an apparatus using letter grouping are provided to easily compartmentalize the double consonant or the consecutive input of consonant when a consonant possible for double consonant is inputted consecutively. CONSTITUTION: A keyboard display unit(102) indicates the keyboard containing a specific character, and receives one of the characters indicated on the keyboard. If the character received as described above is the specific character, an extension unit(104) indicates the group character which is in associated with the specific character. If the user inputs the group character, the converting unit(105) converts the character received in the keyboard unit into the group character. A text display unit(103) indicates the character which is received by the keyboard display unit. If the extension unit receives the group character, the converting unit converts the specific character to the group character.</p> |
