A method for obtaining commercial food snails of the Helicidae family includes keeping snails in closed premises. Snails of the species Helix aspersa maxima and Helix aspersa aspersa of the age of 8-12 weeks, which for commodity growing thereof are arranged with a settling thickness of 240-300 individuals / min containers (of different types) on racks at incline are used as material. In doing so the temperature in the premise is to be within the ranges of 20±1 °C, in the day-time a moisture content is to be at the level of 75±3 %, at the night-time - 90±3 %, a daily ration of the snails is 10 % from the body weight, artificial and natural fodders are used as a feed, and the whole cycle of growing snails up to commodity mass lasts 4-8 months. |
