PURPOSE: An apparatus for purifying water is provided to produce cold water using ice cubes made in a freezing unit, thereby preventing ice cubes from being attached each other. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for purifying water includes a freezing unit, a cold water unit(130), and a cooling unit. The freezing unit freezes purified water. The freezing unit comprises a freezing machine(121) and an ice cube storage unit. The freezing machine freezes an ice cube by receiving purified water. The ice cube storage unit stores an ice cube separated from the freezing machine. The cold water unit produces cold water by receiving ice cubes from the freezing unit. The cooling unit supplies cool air to the freezing unit.
