<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenol composition derived from Camellia sinensis with a reduced harsh taste. <P>SOLUTION: The polyphenol composition includes a flavonol aglycon and flavonol glycoside derived from the Camellia sinensis. In the polyphenol composition, the mass ratio [(B)/(A)] of following (A) and (B) is 0.01-18: (A) the total amount of the flavonol aglycon in solids of the polyphenol composition after hydrolysis measured by high-performance liquid chromatography; and (B) the total amount of the polyphenol contained in the solids of the polyphenol composition measured by an iron tartrate method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
