摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device or the like for adjusting brightness of a whole image displayed by an organic electroluminescent (EL) element. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device includes: a plurality of unit circuits (P1); a scan line driving circuit for sequentially selecting one scan line (3W) by driving period in each unit period; and a data line driving circuit for output of a data potential (VD[j]) on a data line (6) by writing period before the driving period is started. The scan line driving circuit selects all or part of charging control lines (3C) extending according to each scan line, in the writing period.
