<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correspond to cutting brittle materials with a variety of thicknesses when the brittle materials are cut, to improve the quality of the cut brittle materials, and to improve yield. <P>SOLUTION: This glass plier includes a first lever 2 and a second lever 3 connected with each other so as to be freely rotatable. The first lever 2 has a glass pressing body 15 on its tip 7, and the second lever 3 has a glass receiving part 25 on its tip. The glass pressing body 15 has a first pressing plate 16 and a first pressing plate supporting part 17, and a glass receiving part 25 has a second pressing plate 26 and a second pressing plate supporting part 27. The first pressing plate 16 is supported so as to make the distance of the second lever side to be stretchable/contractable from the first lever 2 to the first lever 2 by the first pressing plate supporting part 27. The first and second pressing plates 16 and 26 can be brought into contact with a glass plate, and are preferably an elastically deformable plates with a lower rigidity than that of the glass plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
