PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal pump device having high support stiffness of an impeller. SOLUTION: In a centrifugal blood pump device, permanent magnets 15a, 15b are provided to one surface of an impeller 10, permanent magnets 16a, 16b are provided to an inner wall of a blood chamber 7, permanent magnets 50 are provided to another surface of the impeller 10, permanent magnets 51 and a rotor 52 which rotationally drive the impeller 10 through the partition wall 6 are provided, and dynamic pressure grooves 21, 22 are formed on inner walls of the partition wall 6 opposing to the impeller 10 and the inner wall of the blood chamber 7. AmountΔF1 of variation in attraction force F1 between the permanent magnets 15a, 15b and the permanent magnets 16a, 16b and amountΔF2 of variation in the attraction force F2 between the permanent magnets 50, 51, the variations being those which occur when the impeller 10 is eccentrically located, are made to be substantially agree with each other. Accordingly, a floating position of the impeller 10 can be always maintained at substantially a center within a housing 2, mechanical contact of the impeller 10 and the housing 2 can be reduced, and occurrence of erythrocytolysis and thrombus can be prevented.
