PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provides a method of producing a ceramic film with a high refractive index, high density, and high hardness by simple equipment, and the ceramic film obtained by the same. SOLUTION: In the method of producing the ceramic film, flame treatment is applied to a ceramic layer after the ceramic layer is formed on a support. In the flame treatment to the ceramic layer, even a method of treating a same area at one time or several times with time intervals, or a method of flame treating several times in the middle of forming the ceramic layer with desired film thickness, is used without any specific restriction. Moreover, when two or more ceramic layers with different properties are formed, even a method of flame treating to an uppermost surface thereof, after all the ceramic layers are formed, or a method of flame treating to the surface thereof, every time each ceramic layer is formed, may be used.
