PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a liquid-impregnated porous solid material, by which the liquid-impregnated porous solid material having high impregnated liquid quantitativity and capable of preventing the deterioration in the strength of the obtained impregnated solid material can easily be produced. SOLUTION: This method for producing the liquid-impregnated porous solid material comprises closing and sealing (a) a water-soluble and/or water-dispersible porous solid material 11 prepared by compression-molding a power raw material, and (b) a liquid 12 which does substantially not dissolve or disperse the porous solid material 11 in an amount of ≤95 vol.% based on a space volume in the porous solid material 11 and having a contact angle θ of ≥0° and <90° to the surface of the porous solid material 11, in a packaging material 10 impermeable to the liquid 12, and then contacting the porous solid material 11 with the liquid 12 in the packaging material 10 to impregnate the porous solid material 11 with the liquid 12.
