A carrier package 150 comprises a carrier with open ends comprising a top panel 60, a first side panel on one side of the package connected to the top panel 60 at a first transverse fold line, a second side panel 125 on the other side of the package connected to the top panel 60 at a second transverse fold line, a bottom panel adjacent to side panels and opposite the top panel, a front tuck-in panel 56a foldably connected to the second side panel and in face-to-face contact with the underside of the second side panel 125, a drop down gusset 64a, 66a comprising a rear end of the top panel 60 and at least partially defined by a cut line in the top panel 60 running from the first transverse fold line to the second transverse fold line, and a partially removable dispenser flap 70 which includes the front tuck-in panel 56a and the front retaining panel and is defined by a dispenser pattern 75 running across the second panel and at least partially across the top and bottom panels, a front retaining panel and a number of containers. The partial removal of the dispenser flap 70 defines a dispenser opening in the remainder of the carrier. The bottom panel comprises first and second bottom panels joined together by male and female locking elements. The gusset 64a, 66a and the front retaining panel retains the containers in the carrier before and after the removal of the dispenser flap. The dispenser flap 70 is configured so that when partially removed to create a dispenser opening the containers can be removed through the dispenser opening. The carrier offers the advantage of continuing to hold the containers even after being opened.
