PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric converter for enclosing an optical element in a small space, by preventing inflow of more than needed to an optical element side of a sealing agent provided between a ferrule and a ferrule receiver, having a short wiring which connects an integrated circuit to the optical element, having a high flexibility of layout for other members arranged outside of the space, and is less likely have the element deteriorate. SOLUTION: The photoelectric converter includes the ferrule 5 for supporting an optical fiber 2 and a ferrule receiver 6 for supporting the ferrule 5 on a circuit board 4, and the photoelectric converter interposes a sealing agent 11 flowed interposed between the ferrule 5 and the ferrule receiver 6, and the ferrule receiver 6 has a groove, a wall, or the like, which is a flow prevention means stopping flowing of the sealing agent 11, the photoelectric converter stops flowing in arranging the sealing agent 11 by the flowing prevention means.
