PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus outputting images having desired characteristics, to external devices. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is equipped with: an imaging section 30; an image output section 22 for outputting a pattern image to the external device; a correction value setting section 44 for obtaining an image correction value for displaying an image having desired characteristics on the external device, based on a pattern captured image obtained by imaging display by the imaging section while the external device is displaying the pattern image; and an image processing section 46 for correcting the image captured by the imaging section for outputting to the external device by the correction value.
