PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain conveyor device for preventing an irregular variation in a carrying speed and a position of a carriage caused by a play of an engaging means of a conveyor chain, and preventing the irregular variation in the carrying speed and the position of the carriage even in a passage curving in the horizontal direction. SOLUTION: The chain conveyor device includes the carriage capable of traveling by being guided by a travel rail, a conveyor chain 110 circularly driven by being guided by a guide rail arranged under the travel rail, an engaging means 130 capable of making the conveyor chain and the carriage engaged with each other and separate from each other, and a drive means for driving the conveyor chain. The engaging means has a dog 131 arranged in the conveyor chain, a pressing claw 133 rockingly journaled in the vertical direction on a rocking shaft 134 arranged at the rear side in the advancing direction from the dog of the carriage, and an engaging claw 132 rockingly journaled in the vertical direction on the rocking shaft and engaged forward in the advancing direction of the dog.
