The process involves introducing an inner tube (21), made of a plastic material, into a cylindrical cavity of a cylindrical shell (20) of a fluid transport apparatus e.g. fluid transport pipe, by forced fitting or interlocking. The cavity is destined to receive the tube, and the tube or shell is maintained at ambient temperature. Insertion force is exerted on one of tube and shell made of plastic, according to a common longitudinal axis (26) where value of the force is in a range from 103 Newton to 105 Newton. The tube is cooled before insertion of the tube into the cavity. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for transporting fluid. |
