PURPOSE: A negative active material, a negative electrode including thereof, a producing method of the negative electrode, and a lithium battery are provided to maintain the structure of the negative active material when charging/discharging the lithium battery. CONSTITUTION: A negative active material has a core-shell structure. The negative active material contains a composite including a core formed with a non-carbonaceous material and a carbon nanotube, and a shell including a carbon layer. The carbon nanotube is dispersed on the surface of the non-carbonaceous material. The carbon layer is polymer carbide of a carbonizable monomer.
