<p>The chute has a tubular panel (2) including an opening defining a cattle. A beating door closes and opens an access passage in the cattle. The beating door is carried by a mobile chassis including a frame (19) on which the beating door is articulated. The mobile chassis is slidingly assembled along the tubular panel to occupy various positions in which the frame partially covers the opening to reduce the width of the access passage. Blocking units (31-33) immobilize the mobile chassis with respect to the tubular panel.</p>
