PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and image processing method, which enhances a picture quality in a low density area.SOLUTION: In the image processor which creates image reproduction data indicating an ink attaching area from image data having an input gradation value, the image processor has a controller having a half-tone process part for creating the image playback data from the input gradation value based on a gamma table, and the gamma table is formed so that characteristics of output density for the input gradation value have linear characteristics connecting linearly between the minimum output density 0.1 and the maximum output density 1.6 in the middle input gradation value area, and also have low input gradation characteristics in which the minimum ink output density corresponding to the minimum ink attaching area is lower than the output density of the linear characteristics in a low input gradation value area lower than the middle input gradation value area. |
