The invention relates to a method for producing granules which contain prohexadione calcium and an inorganic sulfate, comprising the step of fluidized bed granulation of an aqueous dispersion containing prohexadione calcium. The invention further relates to granules that are composed of at least one particle which is at least partially surrounded by an enveloping layer, the particle containing inorganic sulfate and the enveloping layer containing prohexadione calcium. The invention further relates to the use of the granules according to the invention for producing a spray emulsion and to the use of the granules according to the invention for controlling plant growth.
