Provided is an input device that can prevent unintended user input, by notifying the user of a change in pressing load. The input device is provided with: a touching surface where a touching operation is to be conducted; a load detection unit that detects a pressing load to the aforementioned touching surface due to the touching operation; a vibration unit that makes the aforementioned touching surface vibrate; and a control unit that controls the input device so as to accept input by the touching operation, when a pressing load is detected that satisfies a load standard with which the aforementioned load detection unit will accept input. The aforementioned control unit also controls the input device so as to make the aforementioned vibration unit vibrate, when a pressing load is detected that satisfies a load standard that is lower than the aforementioned load standard with which the aforementioned load detection unit will accept input.
