<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering sensor inhibiting lowering of a detection resolution when a steering shaft is located in a neutral position. <P>SOLUTION: The steering sensor 10 is equipped with: a non-circular gear 42; a non-circular gear 50 to be engaged with the non-circular gear 42; a reduction gear 30 transmitting rotation of the steering shaft 20 to the non-circular gear 42; a magnetic sensor 70 converting a magnetic field changing due to rotation of the non-circular gear 50 into an electric signal; and a signal processing circuit 80 calculating a steering angle of the steering shaft 20, based on an output signal of the magnetic sensor 70. A rotation ratio of a rotation angle of the non-circular gear 50 to that of the steering shaft 20 is maximized in the neutral position of the steering shaft 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
