<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal element having highly accurate retardation control property and high productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the liquid crystal element has: a seal forming step of forming a seal 104 at least on one of two mother substrates 101a, 101b; a liquid crystal-filling step of forming a state in which a polymer liquid crystal 105 before cured is filled between two mother substrates 101a, 101b; a liquid crystal-curing step of curing the uncured polymer liquid crystal 105; and a cutting step of cutting the mother substrates 101a, 101b together with the polymer liquid crystal 106 cured in the liquid crystal-curing step into a plurality of single liquid crystal elements 110 provided with no seal in the periphery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
