<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which develops an electrophotographic image on an image carrier with a developer having uniform high electrification by sufficiently stirring and mixing a replenished developer into a circulating developer even if the developer is deteriorated. <P>SOLUTION: A developing container 41 is partitioned by a partitioning wall 49 into a developing chamber 41b in which a developing sleeve 47 is disposed, and a stirring chamber 41a for stirring the replenished developer. A developing screw 42 for supplying the developer to the developing sleeve 47 is disposed in the developing chamber 41b. Stirring screws 43 and 44 for stirring the circulating developer and mixing the replenished developer into the circulating developer are disposed in the stirring chamber 41a while overlapping each other in a height direction. The lower end face of the outer diameter of the stirring screw is disposed above the upper end face of the outer diameter of the stirring screw 43 disposed below the stirring screw 44. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
