PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic system and method for measuring the number of ribs of an embryo. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic system for measuring the number of ribs of an embryo includes: a setting part for a user to set the part of measuring the number of ribs in a three-dimensional ultrasonic image of ribs of an embryo as a region of interest; a measuring part for measuring the number of ribs in the set region of interest according to an automatic extraction algorithm for ribs; and a display part for displaying the measured number of ribs.
