PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a diffuser pressure recovery efficiency in a centrifugal pump. SOLUTION: This centrifugal pump includes: a rotating shaft 53 rotatably supported by hollow casings 41, 45; impellers 51, 52 mounted on the rotating shaft 53; an impeller inlet passage 61 with fluid sucked to the impeller 52; and a diffuser 54 decelerating the fluid delivered from the impeller 52 and composed of a vaneless diffuser 54b and a vaned diffuser 54a. When D2 represents an impeller delivery diameter from the impeller 52 to the vaneless diffuser 54b, and D3 represents a vaned diffuser inlet diameter from the vaneless diffuser 54b to the vaned diffuser 54a, D3/D2 is set to 1.1-1.22 where.
