PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixture of resorcinol and water, to provide a method for storing the same, thus inhibiting the discoloration of the mixture. SOLUTION: The mixture includes: resorcinol; and 10-100 pts.wt. of water based on 100 pts.wt. of the resorcinol; and in addition, an acid. The method for storing the resorcinol-water mixture is also provided, comprising storing the mixture under at least one condition selected from the group consisting of the following (A) to (C) ones: (A) in an inert gas atmosphere≤3% in oxygen concentration; (B) at 10-60°C; and (C) in a stainless steel, Hastelloy or glass container.
