PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform closing-fixing and sealing of a meter box or the like without using an exclusive implement. SOLUTION: The sealing fastener (10), provided for fixing a cover member (53) to a base (52) of the meter box (50) so that it can not be opened, and also for sealing it, and composed of a head part (16) wherein an insertion hole (12) is formed and which includes a detent portion (14a) projecting inside the insertion hole, and a belt part (22) which extends from the head part and wherein a plurality of grooves (18) to be hooked on the detent portion inside the insertion hole are formed in parallel, includes an injustice preventing mechanism which prohibits external contact with the detent portion whereon the belt part inserted into the insertion hole is hooked.
