PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device capable of keeping accuracy in detecting concentration of carbon monoxide, by updating a zero reference value to detect the concentration of carbon monoxide even in a case when a gas burner is in a combustion state. SOLUTION: This combustion device has a CO sensor for detecting the concentration of carbon monoxide included in a combustion gas of the gas burner. In combustion, a combustion time of the gas burner is integrated, the combustion of the gas burner is temporarily stopped to update the zero reference value of the CO sensor, when the integrated time reaches a prescribed time, and then the combustion of the gas burner is restarted.
