<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an image forming program capable of transmitting information showing an exact state of a fault. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes a first storage means, a detection means, a first determination means, and a transmission means. The first storage means stores information showing an update time when a control program to be executed for forming an image is updated. The detection means detects a fault generated by the execution of the control program. Based on the update time expressed by the information stored in the first storage means and the occurrence time when fault occurs, the first determination means determines existence/absence of a possibility that the fault detected by the detection means is a fault caused by the update of the control program. If the first determination means determines that there is the possibility, the transmission means transmits status information showing the state of the fault containing existence/absence of the possibility. Thus, not only existence/absence of the possibility that the fault is caused by the update of the control program can be determined with a sufficient accuracy, but also information exactly showing the state of the fault with existence/absence of the determined possibility can be transmitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
