<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method of a machine which can estimate generation or progression of abrasion of a gear without dismantling it, and optimizing frequency of precise inspection accompanied by dismantlement. <P>SOLUTION: In an inspection method of a machine (hoist 100) having a gear mechanism onto which grease is applied, namely, in an ordinary inspection unaccompanied by dismantlement of the machine, for performing an abrasion test reproducing abrasion of the gear mechanism by using grease oxidized beforehand, setting a first management value comprising an oxidation degree of the grease in a stage wherein generation of abrasion particles is started, and setting a second management value relative to the size of the abrasion particles generated by abrasion of the gear mechanism, the grease is sampled from a periphery of the gear mechanism, and the oxidation degree of the sampled grease is measured. When the measured oxidation degree exceeds the first management value, the size of the abrasion particles included in the sampled grease is measured, and when the measured size of the abrasion particles exceeds the second management value, the precise inspection accompanied by dismantlement of the machine is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
