PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact rotary switch with little short circuiting due to ion migration or abrasion powder collection. SOLUTION: The rotary switch is structured of a slider 30 having two common movable contact pieces 32, 33 cut and raised on one face side of a conductive thin plate supported in free turning around a turning axis center 90, and three signal-use movable contact pieces 34, 35, 36 cut and raised on the other face side, a common fixed contact terminal 50 having a common fixed contact 50a arranged so as the common movable contact pieces 32, 33 to slide on one face side of the slider 30, and signal-use contact terminals 21, 22, 23 having signal-use fixed contacts 21a, 21b arranged so as the signal-use movable contact pieces 34, 35, 36 to slide on the other face side of the slider 30.
